Fruit & Vegetable Forms in Wedgewood first appeared around 1759
Josiah Wedgewood was inspired by nature for his Cauliflower-ware collection and although Wedgwood nowadays has a much more modern style, we at Kensington Design were delighted to come across this creative family owned Italian workshop in Tuscany who produce many different ranges, among which is their wonderful Clorofilla (chlorophyll in English – the green pigments found in plants) collection. This witty collection includes all sorts of vegetables, including garlic, onions, carrots, peppers, tomatoes and fennel.
We were so relieved to finally find handmade tableware with soul as opposed what we see in departments stores today (mass produced factory products). This week we pay tribute to this eccentric Italian family.
